Double Island Point to Gary's Anchorage (Fraser Island)

1000hrs:  Departed Double Island point heading for the Wide Bay Bay and beyond.

1300hrs:  As we approached the bar a massive thunderstorm came across from the mainland and reduced visibility to less than 100 meters.  We slowed the boat down and waited for the storm to pass before crossing the bar using the coastguard's way-points.  Easy in the end and we negotiated the bar without incident.  Along with 12 other boats we crossed the bar and used some excellent breeze to sail up to Gary's Anchorage on Fraser Island.
