Back on GKI

Moved to Fishermans Beach this morning to get some ice and stay for a while.

Began the window rot repair with core mat chopped strands mixed with epoxy and micro balloons.
A few coldies at the end of the day finishes off a perfect day.

Jobs on the boat at Svensons Beach

Arrived yesterday from the Capricorn Cruising Yacht Club pontoon via Considine Beach (North Keppel Island).
A bit of uncomfortable swell saw us up anchor and go to Svenson's beach on Great Keppel Island (GKI)
Today Suzy and I went for a walk along Svensons beach and a swim.

Boat work today consisted of sanding back the repair of the starboard crossbeam/seagull striker where the poor practice of the previous owner had caused significant amounts of dry rot.

As well as excavating rot next to a starboard window which appeared to have been filled and painted rather than repaired.

Both jobs have been soaked with Everdurev epoxy to seal them ready for repair.

Social Distancing
This is our second day of social distancing from the C19 virus pandemic.  A yacht is a pretty good place to practice this.  We should be out here for another week or more and hopefully, we will have a better idea of how well Australia is going at controlling the spread of this nasty virus.
